International Sunday mass at 9:00 (free)
The most popular mass for visitors. Held every Sunday at 9:00 in the main basilica. Catalan language with simultaneous translation in 5 languages. About 1500 attendees.
Rules:
- Free entry via Carrer de la Marina door.
- Doors open 8:30, line forms from 8:00.
- No reservation needed but capacity is first come first served.
- Modest dress (covered shoulders and knees).
- No photography during the mass.
- Leave via the same door at the end (no wandering).
Daily masses Monday to Saturday at 8:00
A daily mass for parishioners is held in the chapel of Saint Joseph (a smaller side chapel) every weekday at 8:00. About 50 attendees. Catalan only. Free access via Carrer de la Marina chapel door.

Mass tips for visitors
- Arrive 30 minutes early for the Sunday 9am mass to get a seat with view of the apse.
- Bring a scarf to cover shoulders if you wear sleeveless tops.
- Dress for chilly mornings: the basilica is unheated.
- Buy a paid ticket for the same day to wander after mass (mass attendees who buy a ticket can stay).
