Why follow this exact order
This one-day Gaudi itinerary is optimized for three things:
- Lowest crowd impact (Sagrada at first slot, Park Guell at last slot).
- Best light at each site (morning Sagrada, afternoon Casa Mila rooftop, sunset Park Guell viewpoint).
- Minimum metro travel (4 sites in 1 day, total walking under 4 km).
Hour by hour itinerary
9:00 to 11:00: Sagrada Familia
Book the first slot. Top View ticket with towers and live guide. The basilica is least crowded at this hour and stained-glass light through the Nativity windows is golden. Pick Nativity tower for morning views east.
11:00 to 12:00: Walk to Passeig de Gracia
Walk 1.6 km along Avinguda Diagonal from Sagrada Familia to Passeig de Gracia. Coffee on the way. Or take metro L5 + L2 (8 min if tired).
12:00 to 13:00: Lunch on Passeig de Gracia
Light lunch at a brasserie on Passeig de Gracia. Suggestions: Cafe del Centre or Granja Petitbo. Avoid heavy paella (you have 4 more hours of standing).
13:00 to 14:30: Casa Batllo
Book the 13:00 slot. The 10D experience uses augmented reality to reveal Gaudi inspirations. Allow 90 minutes for the full visit including rooftop dragon back.
14:30 to 15:00: Walk to Casa Mila
3-minute walk along Passeig de Gracia. Optional: stop at Casa Amatller and Casa Lleo Morera (the other two buildings of the Manzana de la Discordia).
15:00 to 16:30: Casa Mila La Pedrera
Day ticket includes the apartment recreation, attic and rooftop. The rooftop is famous for its warrior chimneys. Best light is between 15:30 and 16:30.
16:30 to 17:00: Metro to Park Guell
Take metro L3 from Diagonal to Vallcarca. 12 minutes. Then walk 12 minutes uphill to the Park Guell entrance. Or take a taxi from Casa Mila for 12 to 15 euros (faster with kids).
17:00 to 19:00: Park Guell
Last slot of the day. Crowds have left. The Monumental Zone is best at sunset (the panoramic viewpoint over Barcelona is golden). Walk down through the upper park afterwards.
19:00 onwards: Dinner in Gracia
Walk 10 minutes downhill from Park Guell to Gracia neighborhood. Plenty of tapas and Catalan restaurants. Reservations needed for places like El Glop.

What most blogs miss
This itinerary is intense: 4 indoor visits in 1 day with about 4 km of walking. After Casa Mila most visitors are tired and skip Park Guell. To preserve energy, take the optional taxi between sites and rest 20 minutes at Casa Mila with a coffee in their inner courtyard before heading to Park Guell.
Questions frequentes
Yes but it is intense. The optimal sequence: Sagrada 9am, Casa Batllo 1pm, Casa Mila 3pm, Park Guell 5pm. Total walking 4 km plus metro.
Sagrada Familia first (9am slot for crowds), then Passeig de Gracia (Casa Batllo + Casa Mila lunch break), then Park Guell last (sunset viewpoint).
About 164 euros per person with the multi-Gaudi pass at 99 euros plus metro and meals. Separate tickets push it to 186 euros.
Last. The viewpoint is best at sunset and crowds are lowest in the late afternoon slot.
Tight but possible. With kids or seniors, split across 2 days: Day 1 Sagrada + Park Guell, Day 2 Casa Batllo + Casa Mila.
