The 12 Apostle towers
12 towers of about 100 metres each, four on every facade. Already complete on the Nativity and Passion facades. Each tower is named after an apostle and crowned with a colorful pinnacle.
The 4 Evangelist towers
4 taller towers of 135 metres around the central spire. They represent Matthew (angel), Mark (lion), Luke (ox) and John (eagle), with their symbols on top.
The Tower of the Virgin Mary
Completed in December 2021 at 138 metres, crowned with a 12-pointed star that lights up at night.
The Tower of Jesus Christ
Central tower scheduled for 2026 finish at 172.5 metres total height (excluding the cross). Will become the tallest building in Barcelona, just below Montjuic hill at 173 metres.
Tower access for visitors
Two towers are open to visitors: Nativity (less steep, panoramic view of the eastern city) and Passion (steeper, closer to the Mediterranean). Both reached by elevator with a 50-step descent.
