The real queue at Sagrada Familia
There is no general queue at Sagrada Familia: every ticket is timed-entry. The only queue is the security check that every visitor passes regardless of ticket type. Skip-the-line cannot bypass security.
What skip-the-line actually means: a separate, shorter scanning lane plus a head start at the security check.

Where the lanes are
- Fast-track lane: Carrer de la Marina door, dedicated channel.
- Regular lane: Plaza de la Sagrada Familia main door.
- Tower visitors: same fast-track lane regardless of ticket.
- Mass attendees: third lane on Carrer de la Marina.
When skip-the-line is worth it
Skip-the-line costs 4 to 7 euros more than a basic ticket. Worth it when:
- You can only visit between 11:00 and 16:00 (the busy block).
- You travel with kids who hate waiting.
- You have a tight schedule with another booked activity afterwards.
- You visit in July, August, Easter or Christmas.
When skip-the-line is a waste
- You book the 9:00 first slot in low season (saves only 5 min).
- You book the last slot before close (everyone has gone).
- You visit Tuesday or Wednesday in February or November.
Avoid the resellers selling fakes
Street touts near the basilica sell "skip-the-line tickets" at 60 euros that are just regular timed entries. Buy only from official sagradafamilia.org, Viator, GetYourGuide or trusted aggregators.
What most blogs miss
Skip-the-line tickets do not skip the security check. Every visitor goes through bag scanning. So even with a 40 euro fast-track ticket, plan 15 minutes between scheduled entry time and actually being inside the basilica. Don't book a Park Guell slot 30 minutes after your Sagrada Familia entry.
